Courage-from my perspective

It takes courage to speak frankly;

Addressing topics others would avoid

To choose the truth over telling lies

But it will be worth it.

 

It takes courage to accept your flaws;

Not to judge, condemn and rebuke yourself.

Stop pretending, begin to be real!

And it will be worth it.

 

It takes courage to love again

After heartbreak, loss or pain;

Choosing to stay positive in life

And it will be worth it.

 

It takes courage to start no matter what

Just to believe that you can start at all

Taking the first step and then the next

And it will be worth it.

 

There’s something else that takes courage;

It means admitting you can’t do it all by yourself;

Humiliating, you think; but yet it is brave!

It’s:  asking for help– and it will be worth it!
