He was getting suspicious when he went to pick her up;
He was supposed to take her to the airport-
But no sign of her.
Her car was gone.
They were getting suspicious when she didn’t arrive;
With the flight she was supposed to be on.
No answers to calls.
Where could she be?
Every one was getting suspicious when they found her car-
Hidden in a canefield; miles from her home:
Worst fears came true –
When she was found.
Heart-wrenching and gripping. Great writing.

That made the back of my neck tingle. You have a gift for dramatic build up.

Thank you. In this case I didn’t do much of a build up .. it’s pretty much how it really happened.. and following that story was heart-wrenching indeed!

There was still build up enough. I am so sorry that you have clearly both witnessed and experienced so much pain and suffering.

I wish someone would! … all these murders going unsolved😠. A couple months later they seem to be forgotten already.

Yes, the “forgetting” part is heartbreaking. Families will forever be ruined, but the rest of the world just goes on.
